This kit is to install one large window

Includes:

• 2 x Sika Flex P2G Premium Urethane Adhesive Tubes (applied through standard silicone gun)
• 2 x Nozzle tips to apply the adhesive
• 2 x Primer Stick’s with applicator (to be applied to the window and body panel before applying adhesive)
• 2 x Sika Activator Pro Cleaning/Activator pads (to clean the window and body panel before applying primer)
• 1 x 3.5 Meter Length Of U Trim (for one window)

Sika Premium Spec:

How To Use:

Sika Flex P2G is supplied in a 330 ml cartridge. It is applied through a silicone gun. Sika Flex P2G is used by professional’s to bond glass to vehicles. By its nature Sika Flex P2G has a high viscosity meaning its recommended to use a professional 18 to 1 silicone gun for application.

A standard silicone gun be used but it will be hard for the adhesive to be forced from the tube. To make this easier Sika Flex P2G can be heated to make the adhesive easier to apply you can use a heat gun for this. A gentle heating is required

Surface Preparation:

Primer must be used on the body of the vehicle, P2G can be used without primer to the glass but we would still recommend using it our kit includes enought primer for this.

Surfaces must be clean, sound, dry and free from all traces of traditional and non-traditional contamination. All corrosion must be removed and all bare metal scrapes and scratches must be prepared in accordance with Sika’s Corrosion Treatment recommendations. For preparation of all bonding surfaces it is required to read and understand the instructions given in the Sika AGR Technician Training Manual. Windshields without ceramic coating need proper UV protection.

Application:

It is recommended to apply the adhesive with a piston-type application gun. To ensure a uniform thickness of adhesive bead, we recommend that the adhesive be applied in the form of a triangular bead

Use gloves and eye protection

Do Not Eat

Application Limits:

Avoid contact with alcohol and alcohol containing solvents during cure.

Do not apply over silicones or in the presence of curing silicones.

Glass parts must always be installed within the open time. The open time is significantly shorter in hot and humid climates. Never install any glass part after the product has built a skin.

Bonding glass to vehicles forms part of the structural integrity and as such must be done to the manufacture specs.
